FAQs
Do you offer a free consultation to see if we are a good fit?
Yes, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation where you can share what you're hoping to work on, and I can answer any questions you have. The "fit" between us—whether you feel comfortable with me and our personalities click—is just as important as my clinical training. Research shows that a strong connection is the number one predictor of positive outcomes in therapy, so trust your instincts here. Take your time finding a therapist you feel at ease with, who truly understands your experience, and who makes you feel supported.
What are your fees?
My fee is $180 for a 45-minute individual session, $200 for a 45-minute couples session, $260 for a 60-minute couples session, and $70 for a 80-minute group session.
Do you accept insurance?
No. I am considered an out-of-network provider, meaning I’m not on any insurance panels. This allows me to keep your health information private and not share it with insurance companies. However, I can provide you with a detailed receipt, or "superbill," for you to submit directly to your insurance for reimbursement.
To find out what your out-of-network benefits are, you can call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask about your deductible for outpatient mental health services, as well as how much of each session may be covered once the deductible is met.
What are your office hours?
I work 9:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday.
How often should I come to therapy?
I typically work with clients on a weekly or biweekly basis. This frequency helps us build a strong foundation of trust and allows us to dive deeper into the work together. Regular sessions also provide the consistency needed to make meaningful progress and create lasting change. Ultimately, the pace will depend on your needs and goals, and we can adjust as we go along.
What can I expect if I work with you?
In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to achieve through the process.
I’ll ask questions to get to know you as a whole person—your background, experiences, and what’s on your mind. I understand that starting with a new therapist can bring up some nerves, so I’ll do my best to create a comfortable space where you feel heard and supported. This first session is also your chance to see if my approach and style feel like a good fit for you.
By the end of our time together, I’ll share my reflections on what we’ve discussed and offer ideas about how we might move forward. We’ll also check in about how the session felt for you, and you’ll have the chance to decide if you’d like to continue with another session.
Will you diagnose me? What if I need medication?
My focus isn’t on formal diagnoses; I’m here to look at you as a whole person—your history, your goals, and your relational patterns. I believe understanding the bigger picture of who you are and what’s impacting your relationships is key to making lasting change.
If we do uncover symptoms that suggest a diagnosis might be helpful, that’s something I can support you in learning about and discussing your options. While I don’t prescribe medication, if it seems like it could be a helpful part of your healing, I’ve built relationships with excellent prescribers in town who can provide that support. I’ll make sure you’re connected to the right person who can assess your needs and guide you through that process. My goal is always to make sure you’re getting the care that best supports your overall well-being.
